TRJ #2- Five Star Quote- letter to Noah

You are my best friend as well as my lover, and I do not know which side of you I enjoy the most. I treasure each side, just as I have treasured our life together. You have something inside you, Noah, something beautiful and strong. Kindness, that’s what I see when I look at you now, that’s what everyone sees. Kindness. You are the most forgiving and peaceful man I know. God is with you, He must be, for you are the closest thing to an angel that I’ve ever met.

I chose this part as a “Five-Star quote” because it is the most impressing part in the book, which also expresses the entire mood of the novel. The quote was the part where Allie, who got disease of Alzheimer’s, wrote letter to her husband Noah right before her disease gets really severe. She is looking back the whole life which was happy because she was always accompanied by Noah. The love between Allie and Noah, two main characters, was impressing because they so much cared for each other and tried to understand as much as they could. Allie is saying thank-you for loving her so much in the letter to Noah, and Noah says that he is a lucky guy because he loved and was loved by Allie. Although they were little giving the feeling of goose bumps at first, their love so great and big. Therefore, I chose this quote because it was most impressing part in the novel.

Hello! I haven’t read this book before, but it sounds like really interesting book. Did you enjoy reading this book? I hope you did. First of all, I like the quote that you have chosen. The quote is very impressive and made me feel worm and peaceful. But when I read your second paragraph, which explained the background of this book and about the quote, made me sad. I really felt sorry for Allie who got disease. I wonder if Allie survived from the diseases or not. I hope she did. I think it was more impressing quote than anything else because Allie was writing this letter when she was severe, which might have made Allie more emotional.
I have read that this quote is part of Allie’s letter to Noah. Where is Noah? Is he far away from Allie? Or is it just Allie writing a letter to Noah? I have read that two main characters Allie and Noah cared for each other and tried to understand each other and Noah wasn’t there when Allie was sever?!
I have read that this quote represents the entire mood of the novel. Maybe the novel is about love, and I wonder if the ending is sad or happy.
Especially the end of this quote sentence which is “God is with you, he must be, for you are the closest thing to an angel that I’ve ever met.”
I wish I could read the entire letter that Allie has written down to Noah. However this short quote contained lots of details that explain what the book is about, and the mood.
Great job!

What a beautiful quote. Of course, I feel the same way about my wife too!
